Single-User License Terms
Every Claused template is licensed, not sold. This page explains what the license lets you do, and what it doesn’t.
What the license covers
When you buy a Claused template, you (the “Licensee”) receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Use the template for your own business, including editing, modifying, and completing it as your own contract or document.
- Use the template an unlimited number of times for your own business and for your own clients.
- Store the template on your own devices and cloud services.
What the license does not cover
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, or share the template file itself — in whole or in part, whether for profit or for free.
- Post the template file on any public forum, social platform, template marketplace, or file-sharing service.
- Use the template as the basis for a competing template product or template library.
- Claim authorship of the template.
- Remove or obscure Claused’s copyright or attribution markings from the template file.
If you are a professional using our templates with clients
Attorneys, consultants, agencies, and other professionals may use Claused templates as the starting point for documents they prepare for their clients, provided the client receives a final, customized document — not the raw Claused template file. You may not distribute our template files to your clients.
Agency and team use
Each license is for a single user or a single business entity. If multiple individuals across unrelated businesses will use the template, each user or entity needs its own license. For team or agency licensing beyond a single business, contact hello@claused.shop.
Enforcement
Unauthorized redistribution is copyright infringement. We monitor for it and will pursue takedowns, fees, and damages where appropriate. Respect the work and we’ll never have a problem.
Termination
This license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. If your license ends, you must stop using the template and delete all copies. License fees are not refundable on termination for breach.
